Ecocity World Summit 2019
The Ecocity World Summit is the longest-standing international Summit that addresses building cities in balance with nature. It is a biennial event involving over 1,000 delegates from around the world. The first Summit in this series was held in Berkeley, USA in 1990 with the purpose of bringing together bright minds to share knowledge on ecological and sustainable city designs. Ecocity Builders, a nonprofit corporation, has since been convening Summits in different locations around the globe such as Abu Dhabi, UAE in 2015 and Melbourne, Australia in 2017.

Fancy Women Bike Ride
Because women can change the world, and the bicycle can help. Women’s visibility in urban spaces is key to claiming the right to the city. Cycling is a powerful way for women to become visible in society and a completely new way to interact with the city. Fancy Women Bike Ride is an event for women, organized by women to experience the liberating joy of cycling and to inspire more women to bicycle in cities. We need infrastructure and inspiration. The more women who cycle, the more women will be encouraged to cycle.

Canadian urban mobility is at a pivotal moment in its history and CUTA wants you to get involved and make a difference. CUTA’s 2019 Vancouver Transit Policy Forum is a great opportunity for you to get involved, learn about the issues facing urban mobility in Canada and make a difference during the 2019 federal election campaign.
CUTA will host its annual Transit Policy Forum on September 12, 2019 at the University of British Columbia’s Robson Square Theatre in downtown Vancouver. Our event will feature transit industry executives and urban planning thought leaders who will outline how and why public transportation and integrated mobility are at the heart of city building in Canada. The event will also showcase election candidates from the main federal political parties during the writ period who will present their party’s platforms on transit and infrastructure development.
