Living Streets Volunteer

BEST has a long history of promoting and enabling sustainable transportation through initiatives, collaboration, and leadership.

We offer innovative social enterprises, programs, and services to promote and enable sustainable and active transportation choices.

We offer innovative social enterprises, programs, and services to encourage, promote and enable sustainable and active transportation choices. Currently, the offer is a three-program stream: Living Streets, Seniors on The Move (SOTM), and The Bicycle Valet.

Living Streets promotes walking to enrich and experience public space, creating community ties, as a feasible way of transportation, and as a catalyst for physical and mental health. Living Streets is a program that identifies opportunities for education and public engagement in the pedestrian realm.

With SOTM, connecting between the availability of sustainable transportation options like public transit and the experience of driving cessation.

We also run The Bicycle Valet, free and secure bicycle/active transportation parking across Metro Vancouver.
